God Still Breaks Through

Jason recounts how he was in his church office when he got a call that changed his life.  He was called to visit a family at the local hospital whose son, John Smith had accidentally fallen into an icy lake and was completely submerged for fifteen minutes.

Does God Still Do Miracles?

Throughout the Bible we read how God does miracles. But what about today? Does God still do miracles? Many people think he doesn’t.

But Will He Do It for Me?

Jason continues reflecting on the faith of Joyce Smith for her son’s resurrection and restoration.  She prayed and immediately John came back to life. The split second decision to rise up in faith instead of falling apart in fear changed history. Instead of saying goodbye she prayed a bold prayer that changed everything.

God Chooses to Partner With Us

Throughout the process of John Smith’s healing Jason remembers how he and Joyce partnered with God to see him do incredible things. There is no manual to go by when you face a situation like John’s. According to all doctors there was no hope. So in every twist and turn they had to rely on strategy from God on what to do next. God partnered with them to raise a boy from the dead and see incredible miracles of healing.

What Is My Part?

It may be that God wants to do a miracle through you. Pastor Jason had no idea what part the Lord would use him to bring about a miracle, but it became clear years later in John Smith’s life when God used the miracle to lead him into dedicating his life to the Lord.

Who Are You Desperate For?

Pastor Jason teaches about how the woman in Mark 5 became so desperate to receive a healing miracle from Jesus.  He points out a few important one needs for a miracle.

Getting Close to Jesus

Jason teaches that in Mark 5 we learn that miracles require you to wait.

Overcoming Fear

When you need a miracle you must ask yourself the question “What’s going to rule your life? Faith or Fear?” To position ourselves for a miracle we need to overcome fear and choose faith.

Believe Big Pray Big

Jason teaches that timid prayers are a sign that we’re afraid. We ask "What if God doesn’t answer?" If you really want to position yourself for a miracle, believe big, pray big, and get a bunch of other people believing big and praying big on your behalf.

Speak Life The Power of Words

Jason tells us how he and John’s mother, Joyce, decided to not let anyone in John’s presence that spoke "words of death" over his situation. They chose to create an environment in which John could recover, only words of life were spoken and they would trust God to complete the life restoring work he had begun.

The Heart of the Matter

With Jesus, our heart matters most. When you are pushed, what comes out of your mouth is what you are truly feeling and a reflection of the state of your heart..

Who Are You Surrounding Yourself With?

To position ourselves for a miracle, we need faith and friends. You need faith-filled friends who will carry you to Jesus!

Keep Your Eyes Open

Have you ever felt like you prayed and God is not working? It’s important to watch for the little miracles that God is doing.

It Is Time to Do Battle!

To position yourself for a miracle, understand that you are stepping into a battle.  We don’t have to be afraid of this battle because Jesus has already won.

Why?

When God doesn’t give us what we want, we want to know why. More than the why, we would be better served to focus on what God is up to in the situation. What God do you want me to do with this?

When God Doesn't Give You What You Want

It’s very difficult sometimes when God doesn’t give you what you want. When God does something different than what you had hoped for. When you prayed for a loved one and they still passed away. How do we respond in those times that God does something different that what we had expected and hoped for? How do we position ourselves for a miracle? 

Knowing Jesus Is the Greatest Miracle

When asked, “Why do you want a miracle?” The best response is “to know Jesus more and to make Him known around the world!”

To Make Jesus Known

Miracles are signs that point people to Jesus, that they might believe, and that, by believing, find life in him.
