Shawn Williams is a strategic leader and gifted teacher that is passionate about the local church. He is an innovative thinker that loves to see the church take new ground for the Kingdom.
Shawn began his ministry journey at Community Christian Church in Naperville, IL. For 15 years he served in a variety of roles including Student Ministry Director, Campus Pastor, and Teaching Pastor, while also serving on the Executive Leadership Team. In 2015, Shawn relocated to Las Vegas, NV to join the staff of Central Christian Church. There he served as the Executive Pastor of Leadership Development while also serving as a Teaching Pastor. During this time Shawn architected, launched, and oversaw a ministry training school called Central Academy where students could earn a degree while learning “hands-on” skills within the ministry context of Central. Shawn currently serves as a Campus Pastor and Teaching Pastor at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, IL. As a member of the Executive Team at Willow, he is very passionate about expanding the church’s efforts to reach people far from God and develop them into fully devoted followers of Jesus. Shawn earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Ozark Christian College in Joplin, MO and his Master’s Degree in Theology from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. He now lives in the Chicago area with his beautiful wife Lindsay and two sons, Levi and Austin. He is an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Las Vegas Golden Knights. In recent years, Shawn has developed a passion for endurance racing and is currently looking to run all six of the World Major Marathons.
