A man passionate about his family, his craft and his faith, Kyle is originally from Brooklyn, NY.
Having spent most of his youth in Denver, he now calls Colorado home. A product of a fatherless home, he and his Mother moved to Denver in 1979. Growing up under these circumstances automatically meant that the odds for success were against him. Per Kyle, “I can’t tell you how many of my former friends are either incarcerated, doing poorly or are just no longer with us. It is but for the grace of God that I didn’t end up just like any one of them.” A graduate of Regis High School, he then attended Eastern Wyoming College on a basketball scholarship. Upon receiving an Associate’s degree, he transferred to Adams State College, also on Basketball scholarship – graduating in 1993, and later was a Rookie Free Agent for the Denver Nuggets in 1999. He went on to receive an MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2007, and is presently pursuing a second Master’s degree at the University of Denver. His interest in voice artistry was enhanced during his college years when he worked as a disk jockey on the Adams State campus. Enthusiastically embracing the world of voice artistry at a young age, he took every opportunity to perfect his craft. His commitment was rewarded as he is now in his 16th season as the Public Address Announcer (Not only the first African American Public Address Announcer in the Nuggets' franchise history, but in the State of Colorado for any of the major professional sports teams) of the Denver Nuggets. In addition, his voice is heard via Voiceover across the nation for a variety of events, activities and commercials for recognized organizations and associations, and locally as the Host of his weekly Sunday morning radio show, “Gospel Jamz,” on 104.7FM The Drop. Kyle is also deeply rooted spiritually. A former Urban Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Youth Pastor responsible for inner-city youth outreach, he serves as an Associate Pastor of Emmanuel Christian Center Church in Denver and is serving in his 14th season as Team Chaplain for the Denver Nuggets. As part of his commitment to give back, Kyle takes advantage of numerous opportunities to serve and volunteer in the community. In addition, during the offseason he administers a summer basketball league called the Koinonia Basketball League (KBL) in Denver. The KBL was created to encourage men to become better fathers and husbands, to be the spiritual heads of their households and to carry themselves with respect and dignity. Kyle’s number one passion is spending time with his Wife of 23 years, three Children, and Granddaughter. A man of vision and with commitment to Christ, Kyle’s mission is to deliver the highest level of success in every facet of his life – working as unto the Lord, for an audience of one.
