John Moreland is a native of San Antonio, Texas. He was born in the 70s, raised in the 80s and came to adulthood in the 90s as the youngest of 9 children and the youngest of 94 grandchildren.
John recognized early in life that there were two things that he was created to do-preaching and police work.\n\nAfter graduating from High School, John enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Security Police K-9 handler, deploying for Operation Desert Fox and was also recalled to Active Duty, in support of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States.\n\nJohn is the Senior Pastor of Denver Christian Bible Church, a rapidly growing, multi-ethnic church in the Denver, CO metro area. He also serves as the Commander of the 140 Security Forces Squadron (Colorado Air National Guard). Additionally, he lives out his calling as an Adjunct Professor at: Colorado Christian University, Denver Seminary and Gateway Seminary. John’s research and academic passions include: racial unity in society and the local church, and the effect of the African slave trade on faith and religion. He desperately wants to bring healing to an ever-broadening racial divide in North America and the world.\n\nJohn has earned degrees from Wayland Baptist University and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently a candidate for the Doctorate of Leadership Degree at Denver Seminary. He’s married to Kenna, a middle school administrator, and they have 5 children (3 girls, 2 boys), as well as 1 granddaughter-Zaiya Grace. They enjoy traveling, golfing, movie watching and eating too much junk food.
